Jason Ingermanson


Jason began his restaurant career as a Burger King hourly employee in 1994, quickly moving up the ranks to General Manager in 1996. He left Burger King in 2003, after being recognized for highest sales and highest profitability, while serving in many operational positions from training, to multi-unit management. He then progressed to full service dining with Montana Mike’s Steakhouses, located throughout central Kansas. During his tenure with Montana Mike’s, he supervised overall operations, including coordination and opening of new locations and personnel/management development. In 2003, Jason left Montana Mike’s and started his first Mokas Bakery & Bistro location in Salina, KS. Mokas continues to thrive with two locations in Salina, and one in Hays, Kansas. Mokas is currently launching its newest prototype, and looks to roll the concept into the Phoenix, AZ market in early 2021.

Jason, along with his wife Lisa became a Freddy’s Franchisee in March of 2009, with the first location opening in Salina, KS. Hays, KS shortly followed later that year. Freddy’s seemed like a natural fit for growth, and Jason grasped the opportunity over the past 10 years with the franchise. Taking the record setting success of his first two openings in 2009, to opening his 60th Freddy’s in McKinney, TX in late 2019.

Jason & JRI own the development rights to 50 additional locations over the next 10 years. Along with many added opportunities in the industry, Jason feels most blessed to work with, develop, and grow with some of the best partners, leaders, and team members in the industry.

Jason says that he is rewarded to have the support, & partnership with his wife Lisa, daughters Ashley & Megan, and son Jacob working along side, and allowing him to accent his drive to achieve success in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Oran Molovinsky

Chief Operations Officer

Oren began his restaurant career in 1991, with a diverse resume of endeavors, including full-service dining, hotel, retail and catering operations. He attended the University of Maryland and received a certificate of construction supervision at Northern Virginia Community College. Oren oversees all Freddy’s operations for JRI throughout the United States, coordinating new restaurant design and construction with the development team, while also developing and implementing operational processes from his office in Arizona. His strong belief in growing fresh foods through family farming and agricultural land preservation led him to begin an orchard near his home in Arizona.

Oren‘s leadership history with JRI exemplifies the essence of our company’s potential for professional growth as an individual as well as corporate growth. JRI’s dedication to character and integrity allows such growth, and provides the solid foundation upon which the company has flourished.

Steve Howton

VP of Operations

Steve joined JRI in 2015, bringing a strong background in sales management at all levels in the retail/rental industry. Steve is a seven-year United States Army veteran, having served in combat in Desert Storm and Desert Falcon. He received his associate’s degree and several military certifications on leadership and training through the Army while he was on active duty. Steve’s military and business management experience are assets to JRI and its rapid growth, as this combination of expertise allows him a unique perspective in assessing all facets of JRI’s growth, while providing guidance and leadership to enhance this pattern of continued development.

As VP of Loss Control and Risk Management, Steve performs loss prevention audits and profit analysis, as well as policy review and revision. Consistent with the mission of JRI, Steve’s expertise helps to enhance the continued growth of the company by managing risk, as well as supporting the unique strengths and professional growth of each employee.

Nathanael Berg

Chief Legal Officer and HR

Nathanael practiced employment law at Hampton & Royce, LC in Salina Kansas from 2005 through 2016. During this practice Nathanael represented both employers and employees in issues involving the ADA, FMLA, ADEA, FLSA, and discrimination/harassment claims. Nathanael joined JRI as General Counsel in 2016 and works with human resources and insurance claims, in addition to handling JRI’s legal needs.
